Alisha Newton is a Canadian actress and equestrian, known for her role as Georgie Fleming Morris in the Canadian television series Heartland.
Born in Vancouver on July 22, 2001, Alisha Newton began appearing in several commercials from the age of four. But only four years later, when she started to do tests for roles in cinema and television, she discovered a real passion for acting.

Alisha Newton has been on TV and film for over a decade, then seen in over 100 hours in prime time television. Her first major role came as a regular in the series “The Wyoming Story”, a pilot of Amy Sherman-Palladino for CW/WarnerBros. Immediately after, she made an appearance in the hit series “Supernatural”. Afterwards, she played several protagonists in some challenging independent films before making her movie debut in “Percy Jackson – Sea of Monsters” by Twentieth Century Fox, starring Alexandra Daddario and Logan Lerman.
Since 2013, she has played the regular lead role of Georgina (“Georgie”) Crawley (now Fleming-Morris) in CBC’s Heartland series, which is shown in 119 countries around the world. She portrays a brash, tough-mouthed Georgie, a veteran who is tired of the adoption system but finds a loving home on the extensive Alberta (Heartland) ranch run by Jack (Shaun Johnston), a rude but big-hearted rancher and his intuitive granddaughter Lou (Michelle Morgan), and his sister Amy (Amber Marshall). Georgie arrives in Heartland angry and rude, but she immediately softens in the presence of the animals and finally becomes attached to the Heartlanders.
She joined the Heartland cast when she was 10, so she grew up on the screen. During the four-month hiatus when Heartland is not being filmed, Alisha takes on other interesting acting projects. So she can be seen in the TV movie “The Tree That Saved Christmas,” the TV series “When Calls The Heart,” a leading role in a horror movie for SyFy called “The Hollow,” and the scientific action/fiction movie “Scorched Earth. Alisha was honored to perform live at the Canadian Country Music Awards at CBC at the age of 15, thus becoming one of the youngest presenters of all time at the event.
Alisha continues to feed her passion for horses in her spare time. Yes, she is a talented equestrian and is focused on jumping and training her horses. So, when the filming schedule allows, she competes in equestrian events in Canada and the USA.
