Heartland in Brazil
In Brazil, the Series premiered on October 14, 2007, on the cable TV channel Boomerang. However, only the first 4 seasons were broadcast, as the following seasons were not renewed with the channel. However, in 2015 the Netflix Streaming channel bought the broadcast and image rights, then started streaming on its online platform. Therefore, through the Netflix Streaming channel, you can watch the 13 seasons of Heartland available.
Much of the series is shot in High River, Alberta, with additional studio footage and Calgary. But a June 2013 flood on the High River flooded the defined scene at Maggie’s restaurant. However, Heartland’s main scenarios escaped damage. So the seventh season scripts have been rewritten to move filming locations from the fictional Hudson city to Inglewood, a historic neighborhood in downtown Calgary. So a month after the flood, the Calgary studios on the show offered backstage tours for fans to pay a day of fundraising for “Heartlanders for High River”, providing $ 80,000 to help the city recover.
The series filmed some of its interiors at an abandoned military base, Currie Barracks, meanwhile scheduled for reconstruction.
